Uber Soldat is set in the late years of World War II; however, the allies have uncovered a secret program the Germans have been developing for years called the “UBER SOLDAT” or translated – SUPER SOLDIER! You can play either the German forces which include the SS guard of the elusive Colonel Von Kliest and his MKI Uber Soldats who are on missions for the German high command or the under-equipped but resourceful and stubborn Americans trying to stop them from extending the war even longer.
Uber Soldat is a fast and furious game and plays in about an hour. There are 3 scenarios included and can be played in succession to see if the Allies are successful in their missions to stop the Germans – for now. The box set also includes a copy of Frontline Command Skirmish, which has all the basic rules for game play such as close combat, firing weapons and a whole lot more!
The American soldiers who are desperately trying to gain more information about the program and stop the Germans, outmanned and outgunned, they fight on with fury. Included is Sgt McClain who leads the squad of soldiers. There is also Jackson who used to squirrel hunt in Tennessee, the squad sniper, Smitty from Texas armed with a Browning automatic rifle, Morello from Brooklyn, N.Y. who loves a good fight. And don't forget Archie Biggs who joined up because his brothers all joined the fight – too young to enlist, he lied about his age so he would not get left behind. Each model has his own character card which outlines his abilities and weapons.
Then there's Lieutenant Glass, who was in temporary command of the unfortunate company who sent on what they thought was a cakewalk of a mission (to secure an empty town) and was engaged by an unknown enemy with withering fire power. Glass is the only survivor who has engaged them and lives to speak about it – he is a walking, talking one-man army!
The SS Guard assigned to Colonel Von Kliest to guard him while he and his staff researched and guided the Uber Soldat program. These were the first to be experimented on by being injected with the so-called “Super Serum” that turned out to have grave consequences – one of which is that their skin continuously re-grows and the old falls off causing them to look more like monsters than men. The SS men keep on performing their duties even though many now suffer from deep psychotic episodes due to the exposure to the serum. They may not look like much, but do not underestimate them. They are still SS men and fight as such!
UBER SOLDAT or sometimes known as “Machien Krieger” (Machine Warrior). These Warriors are rumored to have the consciousness of a German soldier without the human factor. They are the perfect soldier, obey orders to the end, tough, hardened exo-skin, and armed with the modified STG44 and MG42. The weapons have been created and improved for the Uber Soldats to fire a withering hail of rounds with no re-loading ever seen and that only they can be armed with. These machine men advance relentlessly, never stopping, always firing and hard as H--- to take down!
Each model has his own character card which outlines his abilities and weapons, the SS Guard and Uber Soldats alike.
Also included is the resin cast ruins the forces must retrieve the brief case from as well as a set of bushes and a field stone wall. The ruins come in 5 pieces, which may be arranged to make many different configurations.
American Equipment Cards so you can give your force different equipment to complete the missions such as satchel charge or another Browning automatic rifle.
German Equipment Cards which cover the SS guard and the Uber Soldat. These cards include special equipment and upgrades for the Uber Soldat.
Full color templates and counters such as body counters so if a man falls, others can use his equipment. Also included are satchel charge markers, grenade counters, and drop pod markers. This leaves no room for guessing as the counters are all there!
So the most-used charts are right at your finger tips for quick and easy game play!
Once again for very quick reference so you spend less time looking up rules and more time playing!
Also included in the box is a dry erase marker (for keeping track of character wounds), cards for activation, and dice. All you have to do is provide the ruler/tape measure and you are ready to play!
