MODELING TIPS
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR 28mm FURNITURE!

Part of adding more character to your Ruined City Block Buildings or any other buildings for that matter. We really wanted to add furniture but wanted to be able to easily move it during game play and be able to add it when we desired to do so. We came up with a method of gluing the items in most cases down to clear bases so it can pretty much go anywhere. Here is how we did it!

Above - is how they turned out once they were complete.

First, I needed to find some thin clear plastic to cut into bases for the furniture. I tried plastic plates, but they were to brittle, so when I tried to cut them they shattered a lot. So I went to the Dollar Tree and found some cheap containers (see picture above) called "Surefresh" 10 cup containers for about $1.50 ea. I flipped them upside down and cut the bottom out with an X-acto blade carefully!

I cut it out, and now I had a flat piece which I cut into various sizes depending on what I was mounting on them.

What I liked about this plastic is that I can cut it with a pair of scissors, which I did above. See above.

I opened the furniture packs and separated them by what color paint I was going to paint them. I then sprayed them from reddish brown to white and then stained them and let dry.  Once dry, I used acrylic paint pens and used them to bring out small details on the miniatures. Worked like a charm! Then I painted the stove black. There is a Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, go to the bottom of the page HERE.

Here are a few I did, glued them to the plastic bases and then glued some of the URBAN RUBBLE to each base as well and now all you have to do is just place them anywhere you desire for extra character!

Here are some pictures of the finished bases ready use - Enjoy!
